Yong Hae Sook studied sculpture at Hongik University, followed by graduate studies at Sungkonghoe University in Seoul (MA in Asian Cultural Research, doctoral studies in sociology). Using an area studies-based approach, she attempts to visualize the ramifications of time hidden in contemporary spaces through her work, which has been shown in twelve solo and numerous group exhibitions, in South Korea, the US, Germany, China, Vietnam, Iran, and elsewhere. Yong Hae Sook lives and works in Seoul and Hongcheon, Gangwon Province.
용해숙은 홍익대학교에서 조소를 전공했다. 성공회대학교 일반대학원 아시아 문화연구 전공에서 석사 학위를 받았으며 동대학원 사회학과 박사과정을 수료했다. 지역학을 기반으로 동시대 공간에 숨은 시간의 분기를 중심으로 시각화하고 있다. 12번의 개인전을 열었으며 한국 외에 미국, 독일, 중국, 베트남, 이란 등 다수의 국제기획전에 참가했다. 용해숙은 서울과 강원도 홍천에서 거주하며 활동하고 있다.
